Driver Instructor Training
Course Description
TRAN-1060   Driver Instructor - Class 5 Theory
In this course, you will learn the skills and techniques needed to train novice drivers to operate a Class 5 vehicle in Manitoba. You will learn to integrate safety and defensive driving techniques, and to interpret sections of the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act, Drivers and Vehicles Act, and Regulations. This course includes 50 hours of theory followed by 28 hours in-car training and 4 hours in-car certification. 


NOTE: Assignment of instructors for Class 5 Theory (TRAN-1060), In-Car Training (TRAN-1061) and Driver Instructor - In Car Certification (TRAN-1062) will solely be at the discretion of Red River College.


Class Availability

Beginning September 1, 2018: students enrolling in Online Education courses will be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus stores or online. To review booklists and purchase textbooks, please visit bookstore.rrc.ca.

Student booklists will be available approximately 3 weeks prior to scheduled course start dates. Please ensure materials are purchased in advance, to be available for the start date.
