Course Description
HEAL-1007   Medical Transcription Concepts
An introduction to the Canadian health care system, the health record, and fundamentals of medical transcription.  The ethical and legal aspects of the patient record will be discussed including the medical transcriptionist role in risk management.
Prerequisites:
HEAL-1086 AND COMM-1183

Class Availability
Distance Education course tuition usually includes the cost of the textbook, where required. The textbook will be shipped with your course materials.
