Fall 2009 was the last intake for the DNA program.  The application deadline was March 1, 2010.

This program has been replaced by the College's new Nursing program.

Attention: Licensed Practical Nurses
This program is only for LPNs who have not previously been in an RN program at Red River College. Red River College will be delivering a special one-time only final offering of the Diploma Nursing Accelerated program to Licensed Practical Nurses only beginning in May of 2011 in Winnipeg. You must be a post-1997 (i.e. 1998 or later) graduate of the Assiniboine Community College Practical Nursing Program and be currently licensed and employed as an LPN to be considered for this program.  Please see Entrance Requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Special LPN to DNA Program
Q - If I am not a post 1997 (1998 or later) graduate of the Assiniboine Community College (ACC) LPN program is there any way I can take this special program?
A - No. The program is designed specifically for that particular group of LPNs only. There will be no exceptions.

Q - If I am an LPN from a rural area can I apply for this special LPN to DNA program?
A - Yes you can if you are a post 1997 (1998 or later) graduate of the Assiniboine Community College (ACC) LPN program. However, you must be prepared to come to Winnipeg to take the program as it is only being offered in Winnipeg.

Q - Will there be another offering of this special LPN to DNA program after the one in 2011?
A - No. This is a one-time only offering.

Q - How do I apply for the LPN to DNA Program?
A  - A completed RRC Full-Time Program Application Form indicating 'LPN to DNA' under 'Program You Are Applying For' and the $60 application fee may be submitted in person at a Student Service Centre or by mail.  Our online application process is not available for this program.
