Successful students will have inquisitive minds and enjoy working on practical problems. Because students will be working with equipment that requires hand and finger coordination, manual dexterity is important.

Students should have the desire to enhance their language skills because their jobs will ultimately require them to issue clear verbal instructions on site as well as write concise reports for management.

As many students have found this program academically demanding, students should be prepared to set aside two to three hours each evening for assignments.
