Description
Students in the Disability and Community Support program will develop the knowledge, skills, and values required to support, facilitate, care for, and enhance the development of children and adults with disabilities in a variety of community settings.

Graduates will be able to assist individuals with disabilities to plan and achieve their personal goals and maintain their health and well-being.  They will also promote the development of inclusive communities, and display competent, responsible, and professional behaviour and attitudes.

Students will experience a variety of community settings such as residential and supported apartment settings, developmental day programs, employment related programs, school programs, and individual support networks. Fieldwork or practicum makes up about one quarter of the program.
