JPSM-1008   Justice Recruitment Processes

This course will familiarize you with the recruitment process for employment in police and correctional officer work, as well as civilian opportunities in The Winnipeg Police Service, Provincial Corrections, Federal Corrections, and the RCMP. Through the use of case studies and role play, you will become aware of your skills in problem solving, communication, ethical decision making, critical thinking, and other skills that are assessed in the recruitment process for careers in justice.   


Other Information

After successful completion of this course, you will receive a grade of "complete" on your transcript, and a written assessment of your skills for your personal use.

Entrance Requirements
Recommended last course of study.
Prerequisites:
ABOR-1005 and JPSM-1004 and CORR-1002 and COMM-1170 and SEMR-9078 and JPSM-1012 and BUSA-1007 and JPSM-1011 and JPSM-1013 and JPSM-1010 and CORR-1005

Class Availability

Beginning September 1, 2018: students enrolling in Online Education courses will be required to purchase textbooks and materials at participating Campus stores or online. To review booklists and purchase textbooks, please visit bookstore.rrc.ca.
